There was probably a great view in the past. Today everything is overgrown. The path up is relatively steep, the surface is gravel and scree but overall it is quite easy to ride. There are several places to sit and take a break and the small chapel is really worth seeing.

Entry costs €10.00 (adults) or €5.00 (children). Tours that are well worth seeing are always in the afternoon every half hour from 2:30 p.m.

A variant of the original 2.5km route to start in the car park on the Condamines road near Cluzeau in Magnac-Bourg. The loop will take you through a wooded path at the start and you will radically change the scenery. A desert landscape, arid, made of serpentine rocks and dry vegetation welcomes us. A thematic path will guide you by following the tiles and panels relating the fauna and flora of this vegetation worthy of a steppe. A little unknown corner, the remains of an old tile factory from the last century. This craft was flourishing in the area, thanks to the serpentine which provided the clay. Note that each manufacturer stamped his mon on the brick mould. In the town of Château-Chervix, not far from Limoges, little known to the general public. On a medieval territory, it will date from the 12th century. During the Second World War it was a refuge for Jewish children, through an "OSE" dissociation, and many personalities of the time. We are lucky to be able to circumvent it closely to admire the surrounding walls, the outbuildings, a cottage and to meet some very nice people towards the exit. The Château de la Brégère, the centerpiece of a former agricultural estate, is a fortified house (15th century), located 7 km from Saint-Yrieix. Its appearance and its defensive elements: keep, watchtowers, gun loops, perfectly illustrate the history of a modest Limousin seigniorial dynasty. During the summer, the castle hosts exhibitions of artists.

Bonneval castle overlooks the town of Coussac village. He occupied an important strategic position. A first building already existed in 930. It was rebuilt in the 14th century, then remodeled in the 18th century. It is a quadrangle flanked by four large round towers, surrounded by ditches. It has belonged to the Bonneval family for over ten centuries. To see: its eastern facade with a central square tower with a double drawbridge, its interior courtyard, decorated in the Renaissance with a colonnaded gallery, its elegant west facade and its terrace.
