Château d’Euvezin – Fortified heritage in a bend of the Rupt-de-Mad. Located in the village of the same name, the Château d’Euvezin is a fortified manor house with roots in the 15th century. The current building was probably built for Antoine de Rozières, an influential magistrate, and is part of a network of defensive sites in the Pays Messin. The castle is recognizable by its massive main body, flanked by two square towers, and a steep saddleback roof with tall chimneys. The facades feature cross windows and Gothic details. Originally, the estate also included a chapel, dovecote, mill, and various agricultural buildings – some of which were later transformed into the current town hall and houses. Remarkably, the castle survived the First World War virtually unscathed, protected by a nearby hill while the village was badly hit.

Earth fissure formed naturally at the bottom of an earth funnel several meters deep. An underground passage leads to two galleries to a depth of approximately 37m. However, access to the cave is no longer possible and is blocked by a protective grille - it serves as a refuge for bats.

The small church of St-Lambert is listed as a historical monument. There is also an old washhouse and a fountain to discover.

During periods of heavy rain this section can be difficult due to flooding.

Gézoncourt is a pleasant little town located on the heights of the Esch valley. With no shops, the town nevertheless has a book library that can be used as a shelter in the event of bad weather.

The Villevaux mill is a building erected on the Esch whose construction dates back to the 17th century. The former owner, who died in 2007, donated the mill and the entire property to the department in order to preserve its natural environment.
