The Avalleur commandery is one of the rare Templar complexes in France. Despite some alterations, the architectural interest of the Avalleur commandery is undeniable. This village on the Côte des Bar, on the banks of the Seine, borders the town of Bar-sur-Seine. For many centuries it marked the border between the region of Champagne and that of Burgundy.
