You have a perfect view over the bay and especially the Supertanker area with its storage tanks. You may not like it which is totally fine but it is interesting to see when a tanker approaches the terminal.

Pay it a visit when you are in the vicinity. The memorial tells the story of a successful 2. WW British raid on a German coastal radar installation. In addition you will have a great view over the bay and it’s steep cliffs.

In addition to a remarkable sanctuary from the late 13th and early 14th centuries, the church houses an 18th-century polychrome wooden statue of Saint Sebastian.

Formed underwater millions of years ago, the cliffs are composed of deposits of pale calcareous marine organisms and the skeletons of siliceous organisms. They then rose to form these flint-strewn limestone giants. They appear particularly resilient, yet they are fragile and constantly changing: wind, tides, rainwater infiltration, frost and subsequent thawing weaken them. Erosion leads to regular landslides and cliff retreat.

On February 27, 1942, near Bruneval (French name: La Poterie-Cap-d'Antifer), a British commando with the assistance of French Resistance fighters captured key components of a Wehrmacht "Würzburg" radar. During Operation Biting, the troops parachuted to the surface at night and attacked the German position. The soldiers returned to England in boats with the dismantled components and a captured technician.
