I rarely recommend rest stop highlights, but this one is worth it!

A very idyllic pond with water lilies and fish. A bench on the bank invites you to linger. The place is great to take a break and unwind.

The Pfälzerwoog lake is located in the nature reserve of the same name. The lake, which was once a fish farm, is now a valuable biotope with a rich flora and fauna. With a bit of luck, you can observe frogs, toads, grass snakes and various bird species here.

An idyllic seating area at the edge of the wall; the tower of the Catholic church of Fischbach can be seen very small in the distance (only in summer?).

"The Saarbacherhammer got its name in the 18th century when the Saarbach was dammed to form the mill pond in order to drive the hammer mill next to it using hydropower. This is where the pig iron from the Nothweiler ore mine was processed. In 1904, Josef Bauer bought the hammer mill with the mill pond and the adjacent properties at auction. The hammer mill was converted into a sawmill, which only ceased operations in the 1990s and was sold." Until the “Münchmatt Park” project was created in 2007, there was “a formerly agriculturally used area with the most fertile soil in the municipality of Fischbach”. This area lay fallow for several decades after it was abandoned. - The Münchmatt Park that has now been created is an open landscape area with orchards, fields, grazing animals and a few benches. A very interesting information board about the idea and creation of the "White Madonna" - with a direct view up to her! A few meters away from this spot, there are (somewhat hidden) 2 idyllically located rest benches, directly on the German-French "Sauer Adventure Trail".
