The church of Mont-Rôty, from the 17th and 18th centuries, is dedicated to Saint Madeleine, symbol of the repentant sinner. Its porch is made of brick and its nave is made of brick and flint. The bell tower has 3 bells and has a pointed spire like many in the Pays de Bray. Its apse and transept are made of brick and slate. Inside, it is the woodwork that catches the eye (Romanesque vault, benches, stalls, altarpiece, etc.).

At a recent city council meeting, the city decided to rename this park Michel Lejeune after the former mayor of Forges who died two years ago. Michel Lejeune particularly liked this place, which was long called Mondory, after a 17th century theater actor.

The park of the Hôtel de Ville, also called Parc Mondory, houses two pavilions: the Oratory of Anne of Austria and the Guardhouse. The original building, made of ferruginous sandstone, brick and half-timbering, dates from the 17th century. It was located on the site of the current Hôtel de Ville. Owned by Le Vaillant, a master glassmaker, it was one of the most beautiful houses in the town. Thanks to its size and location, it was chosen to accommodate the King of France Louis XIII and Queen Anne of Austria during their cure in 1633. During this royal stay, the local nobility and the Deputation of the Parliament of Rouen presented themselves to the King. Leisure activities occupied an important place: hunting, theater, etc. The famous Mondory and his troupe were brought from Paris. He presented three plays: Mélite, Clitandre and la Veuve by Pierre Corneille. The latter took advantage of this to draw the attention of the Cardinal and thus obtain his protection. In memory of this episode, the park of the Hôtel de Ville bears the name Parc Mondory.

From the Hundred Years' War, there remain the "beautiful" elevations of land with large ditches, which were fortified points. These feudal mounds (wooden fortresses dominating a flattened area) made it possible to dominate the region from any attack. Today, a very beautiful orientation table (work of Juliette and Jacques Damville) offers one of the most beautiful panoramas of the Boutonnière! (Orientation table 5 on the Route des Paysages) Designed in ceramic, copper and lead, it evokes both the defensive tower with its loopholes and a crown decorated with set enamels. The seven traditional planets, represented by seven colored spheres, punctuate the upper plane of the panorama and stand out against the sky. The general spiral shape of the table is there to emphasize the constant link between the past and the present: the spiral starts from a medieval representation of the sky and ends at the half-spherical cap, a contemporary astronomical evocation of the Messier 51 galaxy.

The Château de Vascoeuil is a historic monument and regional center for art and culture. You can admire the castle's 14th and 16th-century architecture, the 12th-century octagonal tower, and the dovecote, which is protected as a historic monument. You can also explore the park and gardens, where you'll find more than 50 original sculptures by famous artists such as Braque, Cocteau, Dali, and Volti. And if you're a history buff, you can discover the Jules Michelet Museum, dedicated to the famous 19th-century French historian who lived and wrote here. The Château de Vascoeuil is open from April to November and offers guided tours and special events throughout the year.
