The museum documents the approximately 100-year history of the manufacture of bricks and other clay products at the former interlocking brick factory Carl Ludowici, the former market leader in Europe. The museum is located in a restored factory building of the former brickworks. Outside there is a fireplace, a turret press and a paint mill. The museum also includes the restored Ludowici Kugelhaus, which caused a sensation around the world in the 1950s.

Jockgrim, on a spur of the high bank of the Rhine. The place, first mentioned in 1223 under the name "Jochenheim", was owned by the Prince-Bishops of Speyer in the Middle Ages, who had their seat there for a time.
