With the patronage of "John the Baptist", this parish has chosen a saint who is considered a forerunner of Jesus Christ. Roche-en-Régnier is a small village full of charm set on the heights of the Loire. Inhabited by an old fortress, today only an imposing keep remains. If you pass through the village, don’t hesitate to take a trip to the summit of Mont Miaune, thirty minutes from the village. The scenic view over the Loire Valley is exceptional!

In Retournac, the stone bridge that spans the Loire is called the Human Rights Bridge. Built in stone and on a model of lowered arches, the bridge and its sidewalks offer walkers pleasant views of the river and the mountains which dominate it.

The Romanesque church would have adjoined the castle (now destroyed) and participated in the medieval fortifications. Its choir with radiating apses is built in yellow ocher sandstone rock. The aisles would have been reworked in the 18th century. The set of contemporary stained glass windows, created and produced by Henri Guérin, glass artist in Toulouse, is unique among his work visible throughout the world. The shattering of the glass slab in its thickness gives the nuances of value and color.
