From the bridge over the Loire and then to the right is a drama! Too narrow, poorly visible and even dangerous. Over the road to Artias is much better.

In Retournac, the stone bridge that spans the Loire is called the Human Rights Bridge. Built in stone and on a model of lowered arches, the bridge and its sidewalks offer walkers pleasant views of the river and the mountains which dominate it.

Valprivas is a small town perched on the top of a hill which rises above 800 meters above sea level.
