The Treasure of Vix is one of the most magnificent Celtic princely treasures (in this case, it is a princess) in the world. It was discovered in 1953 at the foot of Mont Lassois, in the town of Vix, very close to Chatillon-sur-Seine. The very beautiful Pays Chatillonais museum now houses the famous vase of Vix, and the gold tiara of the Lady of Vix. The vase is very impressive: it is 1.64 meters high, 1.29 meters wide and weighs over 200 kilograms. It could hold over a thousand liters of wine. Celtic princes and princesses of the late Iron Age (6th century BC) traded pewter with Mediterranean populations. They received sumptuous gifts in exchange.

A very beautiful source, whose clear water seems to come from nowhere! The water does not fall in cascade, but it is a resurgence at the foot of a cliff without one perceiving the slightest current and yet the waterfall a few tens of meters further attests to a significant flow.

Nice little and very poor church in the tiny village of Les Goulles (12 inhabitants). We prayed our morning prayer here in silence. A short stop is worthwhile, for a break, for silence, to rest ... We found the way in which the holy water was in the pool particularly interesting - really pragmatic.
