The best French restaurant for miles around. Fantastic food, friendly hosts, and fair prices. Highly recommended. It just doesn't look like it from the outside, unfortunately. But don't let that put you off.

A major Aube memorial and heritage site, the Aube Resistance Museum is made up of three exhibition rooms and a temporary exhibition room which allow you to discover the Aube Resistance. This very particular period which influenced our contemporary world is approached thanks to local collections, which mainly belonged to the resistance fighters themselves, but also to more recent donations and deposits from Aube families who wish the memory of their ancestors to be preserved at the museum. . These collections are supplemented by thematic testimonies on helmets, interactive maps, and manipulations on screens to immerse audiences in the daily life of the Occupation.

The Church of the Assumption dates from 1554 and was originally dedicated to Saint Didier, but was later changed to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. It has a remarkable collection of 17th century paintings, some of which are inspired by famous artists such as Rubens and Rembrandt. You can also admire the marble altar, the stone altarpiece and the funerary slab of Abbot Alexandre Lecharny. The church is open to visitors every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Mondays and public holidays.

A former fortified village, Châteauvillain had many towers, now almost all destroyed. The main curiosity of the city is in a deer park, of more than 270 hectares created in 1655. The city also has a magnificent Church of Our Lady of the Assumption. The Château de Châteauvillain located rue du Duc-de-Vitry, houses a very interesting museum which serves as a place of memory of the town.
