Lots of nature in the middle of a city. With a bit of luck you can see deer or other animals in addition to waterfowl. During high water, some areas and paths are flooded and are therefore impassable.

Idyllic and easy to reach, whether by bike or on foot.

The "Simmersee" is located in the tributary of the Simmerbach north of the town of Simmern/Hunsrück. It consists of two bodies of water that differ in terms of shape and use. The upper water surface (depth: approx. 1.5 m) has a purely biotope character and the lower water surface (depth: approx. 4 m, length: approx. 60 x 150 m) is used for leisure and local recreation. The Simmersee offers you several possibilities to spend a nice day in which relaxation and fun are guaranteed. Hikers and walkers are also catered for at the Simmersee.
