If you're looking for a nature-filled walking adventure, you can visit the Chalmessin Nature Reserve, a former national nature reserve located in the Grand Est region of France. This reserve extends over 124 hectares and protects one of the most remarkable marshes on the Langres plateau, as well as the fauna and flora that live there. Throughout the route, you will observe varied vegetation (orchids, sedges, reeds, cotton grass) and encounter rare animals (butterflies, dragonflies, lizards, frogs, salamanders). The reserve is also home to a spectacular tuff formation phenomenon, where calcium carbonate deposits create waterfalls and pools of water.
