Beautiful view

Very beautiful small church made of green serpentine and white limestone blocks.

Urtaca (Corsican Urtaca) is a municipality on the French Mediterranean island of Corsica. It belongs to the department of Haute-Corse, the arrondissement of Calvi and the canton of L'Île-Rousse. The inhabitants call themselves Urtacais or Urtacacci. The settlement area is located at approximately 360 meters above sea level. Great view from above. The old summit cross was still there when we visited.

2/3 of the loop is nice, up to the superb beach of Sallecia. But the return via the coastal path, like the customs path, is simply IMPASSABLE and very long!! With the heat, it can even be dangerous to have to walk and push your mountain bike for so long! So I recommend going all the way to the beach but strongly advise against the return by the coast, which is nothing more than a hiking trail but not a mountain bike trail!

Very nice and challenging tour. Take enough water with you. At the entrance to the off-road piste there is a nice restaurant, very cozy, where you can refill your water supply.

Feasible with a mountain bike and good physical condition. Super nice tour to Plage Salecceia. Take enough water with you and enjoy the tour. Hard work is rewarded on the beach.

Tour got off to a rough start. It is better to start directly via the way back; or take a machete with you;-)
