Nice climb, tough from Mesvres

A vestige of the "Tacot" (economic railway) lines of the 1900s, the Vaumignon station now houses a café in a very pleasant setting.

Avant Gare is the name of this café-restaurant located in a renovated former train station. It also serves as a cultural venue where numerous events are organized.

Each of these crosses, which the hiker often encounters in the fields or (as here) on a prominent mountain location high above the city, is a sign of remembrance of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
