Easily accessible and open to the public, the Grand Marais de la Queue in Blangy-Tronville is a peat bog, typical of the Somme peatland valley. It comprises a mosaic of habitats including ponds, grazed meadows, thickets, and woodlands. Regular maintenance of this peat bog makes it an important reservoir of biodiversity. You can, for example, observe a multitude of waterfowl (Great Crested Grebe, Eurasian Coot, Common Moorhen, Mallard). In the fallow clearing, plants color the marsh in summer: the yellow of the loosestrife gives way to the mauve of the purple loosestrife. Take the path and come discover this mosaic of colors, species, and habitats.
