The new train station is located on the outskirts of the city, about 2 kilometers from the center. It is part of the modern line connecting Aigio with Kiato and, with a transfer, to Athens. Trains run to Kiato every 3 hours, where you can connect to the suburban train (Proastiakos) to Athens and the airport. Bicycles can be transported free of charge. Opening hours: Daily from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The ancient travel writer Pausanias mentioned these springs in his works and described their water as "sweet in taste." The site is said to have originally been dedicated to the "Goddess of Salvation" (Soteria). There are accounts that the complex originally consisted of 14, 16, or even 18 springs. It was only during a redesign of the square in 1910 that their number was reduced to the current twelve. The distinctive bronze lion heads from which the water flows were also added around 1910. Older residents often refer to the place as "The Lions of the Landing." Due to its great historical and aesthetic significance, the fountain complex was officially declared a protected monument in 1976.

The "Twelve Springs" (Δώδεκα Βρύσες), a well-known landmark on the harbor promenade, is a striking fountain complex. It consists of twelve consecutive marble niches set into a stone wall. Each niche is arched. Spouts: Water flows from bronze spouts, often shaped like small lion heads ("Leontarakia"), which is why the complex is also known locally as "Ta Leontarakia tou Molou."

The Yrmini Thermal Springs (also known as the Springs of Yrmina) and Kounoupeli Beach are located near the village of Manolada (municipality of Andravida-Kyllini). These places are known for their combination of natural beauty, ancient mythology, and healing properties, although they are considered something of a hidden gem today. The springs have a long history and are named after the ancient Queen Yrmina, who, according to legend, bathed there to cure a rare illness. The thermal water originates from a cave, which is considered a geologically significant biotope. The mineral-rich water has traditionally been used to relieve muscle and joint pain.

The Selinountas River is a classic torrent. This means that the riverbed is very wide and filled with pebbles for most of the year, but only carries a lot of water after heavy rainfall or during the snowmelt in the Erymanthos Mountains.

In this region, several bridge structures have been completed or renovated in recent years as part of the expansion of the Olymbia Odos (Corinth-Patras) motorway and to secure local river crossings (such as over the Vouraikos River or smaller streams in the region).

Diakopto often serves as a starting point for excursions into the surrounding mountains, especially towards Kalavryta. Vouraikos Gorge: One of Greece's most famous hikes leads through this gorge. The route often follows the tracks of the cog railway ("Odontotos") and is part of the European long-distance hiking trail E4.
