Now that the flood damage to the railway line to Euskirchen has been repaired, the trains are running normally again and it is no longer necessary to use the rail replacement bus service.

John of Nepomuk lived from about 1350 to 1393. He died as punishment by being thrown from the Charles Bridge into the Vltava River and drowned. As a patron saint of bridges, his statue stands on many bridges in Europe.

The city wall is almost completely preserved and was accessible for about 220 m with a beautiful "Eifel view" at the corner gate. The Schleid spa park is attractively equipped with a biotope, mini golf course, water treading facility, fallow deer enclosure and forestry nature trail. 👍

The Bad Münstereifel train station is currently being rebuilt as part of the reconstruction of the Eifel Railway. As soon as the station and the associated route are completed, there will be a regular connection to Cologne and Trier again, this time for the first time with electric traction vehicles.
