Cozy swimming platform at the lake with a built in barbecue. There is firewood just next to the platform.

Beautiful place on the lake. There are two fire pits and a chopping block. Several access points to the water. The site is registered on Park4Night and is easily accessible by car via gravel roads. There is a fire pit right next to the car parking space, and the second is on the peninsula in front of it. We stayed overnight here and went on a day trip around the lake by bike. Many other tours are possible in the area.

Bring protection against mosquitos. Since there’s so much water in the surrounding area, there can be quite a lot of them. Some basic precautions will prevent them from spoiling a great time here.

Small, well-kept and lovingly managed campsite in Nås on the Västerdalälven river. Swimming and fishing opportunities. Canoe rental. Fire pit with a sweet windbreak.

You have to walk the last few meters. The waterfall is particularly spectacular a few hours after a downpour.

Nice restaurant with homemade bread 😋 and lunch (daily recommendation e.g. Varmrökt Lax) at good prices! closed on Mondays, otherwise daily from noon to 9 p.m.!
