The Grenzhus and the Mechower See have numerous information boards about the inner-German border. Unfortunately, I had the impression that the outside area is not in such good condition.

Unfortunately currently (March 2022) closed and being converted into a self-service café. Worth seeing in Schlagsdorf, in addition to the former inner-German border, is the wonderful church and the 500-year-old court lime tree in front of it.

The Grenzhus Schlagsdorf tells the story of the inner-German border between the Baltic Sea and the Elbe from 1945 to 1990 from the perspective of the people in the border area.
