The Frickabron suspension bridge connects two parts of the Halens Nature Reserve. It was built in 2020 and is named after a regional police officer. An information sign near the bridge tells his story.

From this spot you get a lovely view over the water. This is a nice place to take some photos, relax, and look out for birds and other animals before continuing on your hike.

Shelter with two inside benches in a beautiful location beside a small lake. Possible to sleep on benches or maybe room for a small tent. Fireplace also.

Great photo opportunity and takes you to the island.

There are several shelters and plenty of space for camping. Fire pits, restrooms & dumpsters are also available. In the summer, unfortunately, mostly overcrowded with canoe hikers. Difficult to reach by bike over the small trails.

Beautiful, well-maintained campsite. Beach on the lake with a jetty and diving tower. Tent area a bit off the beaten track. Advantage: quiet and undisturbed. Disadvantage: a bit far from the restrooms (which, by the way, are quite new and very clean).

The tour can be started directly from the parking lot. Or you can hike through the nature reserve in different ways
