This is a quiet place in the woods where you can take a break and enjoy the wide-open views. Right beside the viewpoint is a simple cabin with a spot for a campfire, and you can use it all year long. Just be sure to pack out all your trash since there are no bins there.

Located on the shores of a clear water pond in the old quartzite mine of Rahasmäki, the campfire site is a lovely place to have a break. The mine was in operation during 1940-1948, producing about 40,000 tons of white quartzite sand and gravel. There are two lean-to’s with fireplaces, firewood and toilet.

The Nipasen Hut on the Tahkomäen Kierros Trail, offers you a peaceful resting spot situated in a tranquil forest setting, the hut provides a perfect place for you to enjoy the panoramic views.

Pehku Restaurant is a legendary stop on Tahko’s slopes, offering you a cozy retreat with stunning hilltop views. This rustic alpine-style restaurant is the perfect place to refuel. You can enjoy hearty Finnish dishes, warm drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, all while taking in the breathtaking scenery from the outdoor terrace.

Next to the viewpoint, there is a cbin with a campfire site. The cabin can be used freely year-round. Please note that there are no trash cans in the shelter. Please take all your trash with you. Let's keep the area clean together.
