Lake Kallavesi is one of Finland’s largest lakes, located in the North Savo region and surrounding the city of Kuopio. It has clear waters and numerous islands, with beautiful scenery.

Kuopio's passenger harbour is the busiest port for passenger traffic in the Vuoksi drainage basin and the Lake Finland.

Entrance to the Puijonsarvi Hill in Pohjois-Kallavesi. The area has a lean-to, a campfire site, a compost toilet and a woodshed.

Kuopio is a lively city in eastern Finland, and it's the ninth-largest city in the country, with a population of around 120,000. It’s located in the North Savo region, beautifully surrounded by Lake Kallavesi, which gives the city a unique island-like feel.

Next to the viewpoint, there is a cbin with a campfire site. The cabin can be used freely year-round. Please note that there are no trash cans in the shelter. Please take all your trash with you. Let's keep the area clean together.

Located on the shores of a clear water pond in the old quartzite mine of Rahasmäki, the campfire site is a lovely place to have a break. The mine was in operation during 1940-1948, producing about 40,000 tons of white quartzite sand and gravel. There are two lean-to’s with fireplaces, firewood and toilet.

Take in the beautiful scenery of Lake Syväri from this shared use bridge. Remember to share the space with other pedestrians and cyclists.
