Mirandela, known as the "Princess of the Tua," is a charming town located on the banks of the Tua River in the Trás-os-Montes region. There are well-marked running routes, such as the Trilho do Tua, which is part of a network of trails used by the local group "Mirandela a Correr." This group organizes activities and training sessions in the area, which can be a great opportunity if you're interested in running in a group.

The Tua River avenue is part of the Tua Valley Regional Natural Park, a protected area that encompasses several municipalities, including Mirandela. It's a picturesque setting, with riparian vegetation, river views, and quiet areas ideal for jogging or strolling.

From this viewpoint, the Tua Valley reveals itself in all its grandeur. The road that gives it its name hides secrets from the past. Its origin and date are uncertain, but it is believed that it may have been an ancient Roman road. It would have connected the village of Pombal to the thermal baths of São Lourenço, winding through the landscape to the left bank of the Tua River. Today, all that remains is the stunning view and the echo of the stories that once took place here.

Descent that comes from the town of Trindade and that takes us towards the center of Santa Comba de Vilariça. The road follows the valley with the riverbank coming from Albufeira da Burga, which is located near Vale Bom.
