The blooming heather nestles over the hilly landscape. As a contrast, there are individual trees in the heathland and at the edge a forest forms the border that encloses the area. I like that you can get different looks by turning around the body axis. That really makes you want to drive around or over the next hill. The paths are very well laid out for hiking. Cyclists have to push their bikes downhill or carry them uphill on some passages if you want to go down into the valley. There are solid and very sandy paths in the valley. Since these paths run through the landscape like a network, cyclists can always find a way to reach their destination. I won't drive down the valley when it's raining.

A wildlife park that I can only recommend. Even when it's very hot, it's pleasant there because of the many trees. There are many shady places to rest. The park is an experience for young and old.

The barrows in the forest are very well preserved. Interesting facts are available on information boards at each grave.

The paths are very sandy - in between a lot of roots on the way. Mountain bike strongly recommended.
