Beautiful to cycle over in the summer.

A beautiful route through a stunning nature reserve. Be careful, as the ground has settled in recent months, making it feel like you're walking on an old cobblestone road.

The view is truly phenomenal. To the north are the Willeskop lakes, and to the south, the vast polders.

The windmill isn't located in Pershil. That town is in the Hoeksewaard region. Bosman had his forge there, and the windmills were often stamped with the Bosman-Pershil imprint. This one stands on the beautiful Noordzijdsekade in the Willeskop nature reserve. It's highly recommended, especially when combined with the lookout tower a stone's throw away.

ideal place to start a walk. There is a small parking lot here where there is always a spot during the week.

Please note that during part of the year you cannot walk here due to the breeding season!
