Perfect connection road, asphalt is actually okay in my opinion. Most beautiful in late summer/autumn, but always worth including!

Since years, I try to find the reason for this highlight, but apparently I always fail as I cannot re-create this picturesque preview.

Following this path is the best alternative to the main road West of it. Car-free path through the forest.

It's a nice path along the water, with continuous stretches to pedal. The long bike path between Amersfoort and Woudenberg is ideal for some power output, though it can get crowded on nice days. While the excellent asphalt and clear road are appealing, expect to encounter groups of walkers and dog walkers.
