The Fischbeker Heide is a beautiful nature reserve with sandy paths, an old, easy-to-drive tank road and fragrant pine trees. From mid-August to early September is the flowering time of the common heather, which spreads across the landscape like a large purple carpet at this time. With a bit of luck you can also meet a herd of Heidschnucks here.

Wulmstorf is a tranquil little village near the idyllic Fischbeker Heide. The historic farmhouses are particularly beautiful to look at. It's worth stopping!

What a beautiful view of the Fischbeker Heide, to the left of it is the Panzer Ringstraße, which, if you follow it, leads to Cuxhavener Straße in Harburg, where you can admire the former barracks area. Which is now full of new houses. Otherwise you can drive from here to the glider airfield or you can choose a single trail.
