The castle cellar of Wangen Castle on the Aare River is located in the rear part of the building and can be rented for parties and events of all kinds. It accommodates approximately 50 people and can be expanded to include the adjacent castle courtyard. The venue is a visual delight that exudes charm. Ample parking is available right next to the castle cellar.

Besides the old wooden bridge, the Salt House is probably the most mentioned building in Wangen an der Aare

The Zytgloggetrum is one of two remaining city gates. Along with the old wooden bridge and the imposing Salt House, it is one of the town's landmarks.

From the jetty, the wide Aare River is reminiscent of the Amazon. At each end, there are seating areas for relaxing breaks. A spacious barbecue area also invites you to enjoy a fiery barbecue.

Small private pond that invites you to linger

On warm, sunny days (usually between spring and summer), the small open-air restaurant behind the power plant is open. In addition to a magnificent landscape, it offers plenty of space to linger. A fantastic selection of solid and liquid delights will make hikers' hearts beat faster. You can even leave your backpack at home for a change. The restaurant has several Toi Toi restrooms.

A wonderful gem in the immediate vicinity of Herzogenbuchsee. Water frogs croak around the weather. The divers proudly show off their four young, which, intriguingly, have red heads, while their parents, typical of divers, have white "mirrors" vertically across their foreheads and noses. Highly recommended if, like me, you're out on your new eBike for the first time, to experience all the features an eBike offers, such as: Rohloff gears, automatic seat post, ABS brakes, Komoot, no wait: Simply everything you've known from your "biobike" for 60 years, and now feels wonderful with electric assistance. And: If you wanted, you could also go 45 km/h. But 36 km/h in Bosch Limit mode, i.e. 11 km/h entirely under your own muscle power, is all the more fun, and in weather made for the gods.
