Cookstown 위쪽, 인상적인 Sperrin Mountains 산기슭에는 Beaghmore 석환이 있습니다. 이곳은 아일랜드에서 가장 매혹적인 고고학 유적지 중 하나입니다. 1940년대에 토탄 채취 중에 재발견된 이 유적지는 청동기 시대의 7개의 석환, 10개의 석렬, 수많은 봉분이 있는 복합 유적지를 드러냈습니다. An enjoyable 4km walking track leads you around the serene Lough Fea in the eastern Sperrins in Northern Ireland. The scenery is mountainous and panoramic, and the calm waters bring many anglers and are home to a number of fascinating bird species, often seen flitting along the lake. The walk is lovely and flat and features a children's play area, toilets, and plenty of rain shelters in case of unpredictable weather.

There is an info board here near the peak of Crockmore that highlights some fascinating facts about blanket bog and the importance of it in terms of wildlife habitat. There is also some information about how historically the Irish have used blanket bog as fuel to heat the home and cooking!

This is a wonderful spot in the eastern Sperrins characterised by rolling peat-blanketed hills that make for a wild and scenic walk. It's likely you won't bump into too many other people here, too. The walk is well sign-posted and sturdy waterproof shoes are recommended.

On this stretch of the Solar Walk in Davagh Forest near the OM Observatory a pretty stone bridge spans over the Davagh water creating a picturesque scene. It's also fascinating to note that this area is a Dark Sky Park, meaning it boasts exceptional dark night skies.

Beaghmore (Bheitheach Mhór), meaning ‘big place of birch trees’. The stones speak of ancient rituals and to a people who understood astronomy. When you visit this ancient site look up in wonder at the sky and reflect, that the people that built these monuments observed the same sky, sun, moon and stars.

There are 7 stone circles, 12 cairns and 10 rows of stones here at Beaghamore. In total 1269 stones were discovered under the peat during the 1930s. The site dates back to 2900 - 2600 BC.
