Snape Malting is a renowned arts and cultural complex set within a former maltings building by the River Alde. It offers a variety of galleries, shops, and performance spaces, including the famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall. It's definitely worth stopping here for a coffee if you have time.

The ruin section is worth a look with some info boards out and about with the history of the building on and it's demise.

According to the text version of the Gospel of John (John 1:40-42), Andrew is called first (together with another disciple whose name is not mentioned). Later he tells his brother that he has found the Messiah. The feast of Saint Andrew in the calendar of saints is on November 30th in all major Christian denominations. The X-shaped white "St. Andrew's Cross" on which he was executed forms the national flag of Scotland against a blue background and has also found its way into the national flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain.

Ruins of a friary in Dunwich. Shows how much land is lost to erosion

Beautiful spot to watch the sunrise, if you can time it right.

Now just a little set of ruins standing in the churchyard, like some old broken mausoleum.

Now part of a regional pub chain. Nice, but more of a gastropub than a local boozer although they have a bar menu available Mon-Sat which includes a sausage roll. Or maybe you'd prefer the £15 baked camenbert?

Very popular country pub. Seating out front and large pub garden to the side/rear, although the shingle car park isn't the easiest on road tyres.

One of Suffolk's characteristic little woodlands. Lots of loose stones hidden by the shade of the trees on the narrow roadway.

Tiny single track lane that leads you into Reydon and Southwold. Can be worth it if you just enjoy the peace and quiet, or maybe at the height of the summer tourist season, but generally the B roads from Wangford or Wrentham provide an easier/faster route to Southwold.

The reservoir is on private land and there are notices warning there is no right of way or public access allowed.

The road drops down into a quick right-left before rising again. Be careful of the large piles of loose stones in the corners as you turn in.

There's a commemorative bench tucked away in the undergrowth just off the path. If it wasn't for the straight former railbed that now forms the path you'd hardly suspect it was there.

Quite reminiscent of St Andrew's Church at Covehithe (komoot.com/highlight/4811604). Also still in use despite being partially ruinous.

Beautiful views of the Blyth marshes. The gravel path is compacted and level with no pot holes, and only runs for a few hundred metres, so fine on road tyres.

Approached via a short gravel stretch from either direction but quite rideable. Tremendous views of the River Blyth estuary and the harbour.

Look out for the giant scallop on the shore. the metal sculpture caused a future when it was erected, but it's undeniably striking.

Take a detour off the road to visit this ruined abbey. Free access, open to 5pm most days of the year.
