The sun always shines in Dauelsen. Over a distance of approximately six kilometers as the crow flies, visitors can explore or hike the new planetary trail of the Langwedel Public Observatory. The last station is located in Daverden.

This nature trail is also available on the Ruhr Valley Cycle Route. Very interesting.

From up here you can have a great view of the canal

Via Pfarrstraße, you reach St. Laurentius Church, which was probably built on a former pagan place of worship. First documented in 1257, this building is the oldest in the city. The church served as a place of refuge in times of war and fire. Originally built as a Romanesque fieldstone building (split boulders can be found on the tower and south wall), new windows were added in the late Gothic period (14th century). An extension to the east and the addition of two chapels to the north and south also date back to the Gothic period. The existing flat ceiling was replaced by a ribbed vault. The Mandelsloh and Clüver Chapels contain old gravestones as well as two marble sarcophagi belonging to an old Achim noble family. The clock in the church tower, first mentioned in writing in 1574, is now electronically controlled. 111 fruit trees are located on the approximately one-hectare orchard meadow. The project, run by the NABU Achim group, showcases traditional fruit cultivation. In 2014, the orchard meadow's members received the "Lower Saxony Environmental Award." The meadow is open to the public. The very beautiful old brick church also contains the sarcophagi of the Reventlow couple. (Mrs. Reventlow comes from the Clüverswerder estate)
