Lake Wölfersheim is the largest in the Wetterau Lake District. It was formed from a former open-cast lignite mine.

Beautiful, well-maintained playground with swings, climbing frames, and a water feature. Kiosk nearby.

You can walk around the lake, although you won't see any water for part of the trail. However, there's a lot to do at Wölfersheimer See...a great playground, soccer golf, and soon, mini golf.

was reminded once again that you shouldn't cycle around the lake on a sunny Sunday afternoon, especially on a sunny, cool autumn afternoon...🤗😅😅 although it is wonderful to take a relaxing walk in the sun on the paths around the lake
