Snape Malting is a renowned arts and cultural complex set within a former maltings building by the River Alde. It offers a variety of galleries, shops, and performance spaces, including the famous Snape Maltings Concert Hall. It's definitely worth stopping here for a coffee if you have time.

Two fab-looking old buildings on the seafront of Aldeburgh, I only walked by and did not stop. Love seeing these types of structure, not one part of them look straight, a DIY'ers nightmare.

There a nice section of double track that rolls around the back of Abbey that's rideable on a road bike and gives you another much closer perspective

The Crown at Glemham was used for the interior of the pub scenes in ‘Detectorists’.

Snape Maltings is one of the Suffolk Coast's most famous landmarks. The Maltings were once Victorian buildings where barley was malted for brewing. Now converted and home to shops, galleries, eateries and more. Snape Maltings Concert Hall hosts the annual Aldeburgh Festival, it is strongly linked with composer Benjamin Britten.

Thorpeness Meare is a boating lake like no other. The lake with its islands and surrounds covers around sixty acres in total, with over forty acres of water. Reassuringly, nowhere in the lake is more than 3ft deep, so it provides a very safe boating environment. The islands were named by J.M Barrie, the creator of Peter Pan.

The sand and shingle of South Beach backs on to the pretty seaside town of Aldeburgh. Along the beach front are a number of quirky historic buildings, including the 400 year old Moot Hall, a Martello tower and a converted windmill. Composer Benjamin Britten is strongly linked with the town and there is a monument to him on the beach - the Scallop.
