Hare’s Gap is one of the most iconic passes in the Mourne Mountains, marked by its rugged stile and dramatic views that open up across the range. Slieve Loughshannagh is one of the quieter summits in the Mourne Mountains, but it rewards hikers with wide, open views over Silent Valley, Slieve Binnian, and the western Mournes. The climb isn’t too demanding, and the summit has a peaceful, windswept feel, making it a lovely spot to pause and take in the rugged beauty of the landscape.

Not a particularly high mountain but possibly the best 360 degree view in the Mournes!

At 617m high, Slieve Loughshannagh isn't the highest in the Mournes but it does offer fantastic views down over the lough and deeper into the Mournes.

One of the very best mountains in the Mournes! Not a huge climb but incredible views in every direction!

It can get windy up here so plan a break up here and take shelter behind the wall for a quick snack.
