Between Berlin-Buch and the Barnim region, the "Stones Without Borders" sculpture trail invites you on a unique journey of discovery. Along approximately 21 kilometers of trails through the former sewage farms and the Hobrechtswald forest, you'll encounter over 120 impressive sculptures created at international artist symposiums since 2001. Here, art blends with nature.

With the completion and handover of the two Panke bridges, Ilse-Krause-Steg and Pölnitzbrücke, on July 31, 2024, the cycle and hiking path along the Panke will be completely accessible again.

The "Expansion of the Panke" construction project aims to make the Panke more natural. A new, meandering riverbed is being created on the Pölnitzwiesen immediately northeast of the long-distance cycle path, which will wind and twist across the wet meadows. The old riverbed of the Panke will be shut down and will serve as a drainage ditch in the Pölnitzwiesen in the event of flooding. The existing bridge from 1950 in the area of Ilse-Krause-Straße was replaced by the new "Ilse-Krause-Steg" bridge with a larger span due to its poor condition and the widening of the Panke, which was officially opened on July 31, 2024.

The municipal administration of the municipality of Panketal is located in the functional building built in 1995 directly at the Zepernick S-Bahn station. On the ground floor there is a branch of the traditional "Kaffee-Haus Madlen", a well-known name in the region since 1988.
