Square good for coffee stop

South Molton is a market town centred round a market square. It was a major part of the UK's wool trade and markets still thrive twice a week, although no longer just the domain of wool. There are plenty of cafes in South Molton for mid-ride nourishment

Chelfham Viaduct was built during the period 1896-97. It spans the Stoke Rivers valley on the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway. Unlike other similar viaduct's which were demolished after the railway was closed, Chelfham has remained due to a school and other buildings at its base making it too expensive to dismantle. There are long term plans to reopen the railway line and the viaduct enjoyed extensive restoration in 2000 as part of this project.

Great views out to sea and Exmoor.

One of the largest medieval bridges in Britain dating back to the mid 13th Century. Comprising of 16 pointed masonry arches, varying in span from 5.5 metres (18 ft) to 7.9 metres (26 ft) giving a total length of 159 metres (522 ft)

Beautiful at night and sunset, fantastic point to run walk or bike too if you like a bit of the off-road stuff. Interestingly its also built on the site of a Cold War bunker that was destroyed prior to the monument to JTs wife being built.
