The Neuenmarkt train station and depot required many employees to be located directly on site. These many railway workers and their families needed accommodation. When the depot was expanded in 1892, house number 1 was built here. Later, an entire housing estate of multi-story buildings developed, a special form of the typical contemporary workers' housing, which continued to grow until the 1960s. Only railway workers were allowed to live here.

Very nice swimming pool! It's best to come here before 2025, as the slide will probably be demolished next year. What's more, on Thursdays, children with paying parents get in for free! The kiosk there was also delicious!

Showers, restrooms, and changing rooms are available, as is free parking. No one will go hungry in Wirsberg. Kiosk 1955 offers everything your heart desires, from classics to unusual snacks. Since 2019, the kiosk has been run by Michelin-starred chef Alexander Herrmann, who is known far beyond the borders of Franconia. The two lifeguards and the security team from the DLRG Wirsberg local chapter ensure safety. The chicken coop is very poorly designed and there are far too many chickens in a very small space. No animals were to be seen in the other coop.
