It's also great to walk in winter. Our recommendation: poles and/or spikes and walk the circuit anti-clockwise. Then it's easier to go uphill at the "critical" points!

After a long climb I finally reached it and it was an incredible feeling to be standing up here and on a beautiful autumn day like today you could even see as far as Munich. I was overcome by an incredible feeling of happiness.

It is something very special to climb a mountain at 4:30 in the morning when everyone is asleep. You are completely alone on the hiking trails and the autumn wind makes you believe that cars or animals are coming behind you. In addition, you can watch the sunrise over Kochel in the morning and if you get warm quickly, it is easier to hike in the low temperatures. In a nutshell, a great little adventure with potential.

The Fohnsee is one of the largest of the 20 lakes that make up the Osterseen group. They have been in a protected landscape area since 1955. The banks here are lushly covered with reeds, but there are small passages to the water here and there. There is a campsite on the opposite side.
