You've definitely earned half a ticket if you ride the Biobike up the old Ettal mountain road! :-)

Quite enchanting! Built in 1694 by the monks of the Ettal Monastery, the chapel was dedicated to Gertrude of Helfta, who was very popular at the time of its construction (her commemoration date is November 17th). Gertrude, also known as the Great, lived in the second half of the 13th century and is a significant figure in women's mysticism.

Unfortunately, the Bear Cave can only be viewed from a distance. Due to the unstable rock face, the cave is not accessible.

The Little Ammer Springs are located at the end of the Graswang Valley, north of the Kohlbach stream, and mostly east of the Ettal district of Rahm. The water from the Linder River, which seeps away further west, resurfaces in spring funnels. From approximately 30 springs, in which rising bubbles can be seen, small spring streams emerge, which converge after a few meters. The Little Ammer springs from these springs and meanders through the Weidmoos below the Falkenwand at the Rappenkopf. Its general course initially runs east to the bend of the Falkenwand and then north. Shortly before the Döttenbichl, it turns east again and flows from the left into the Great Ammer opposite the Bärenhöhle cave. (Wikipedia)

Simply a super beautiful place on earth

Climbed today in good weather (#33). A/B - more likely B. Beginners/inexperienced climbers should use a via ferrata set, also because there's a lot of oncoming traffic and you have to dodge. Please don't be careless! Steel cables throughout (no more chains), but also some greasy rocks - so it's best to avoid them in wet conditions. Today, while descending, I also encountered *unbelayed* children around 4-5 years old. Is that really necessary????? (You only have one life!)

Here in the beautiful Weidmoos you will find the Ammer springs. Further west, the water of the Linder seeps into the ground. It flows into the springs here.
