Lovely setting. The Tack Room is the restaurant but there's also The Tack Box takeaway cafe and bakery, with full height glazing overlooking a manicured courtyard with outdoor seating. Opening hours for the cafe are 8am-3pm Tue-Sat and 10am-3pm Sun.

Duchess Drive eases you into it at the bottom for the first 15m of ascent then ticks up for another 25m of elevation before easing with one final 15m kick and then a roll out.

The left hand bend after leaving Ashley turns more than 90 degrees - easy to get caught out with too much speed and find yourself heading over to the wrong side of the road.

The Jubilee Clock Tower is an impressive sight at the top of Newmarket High Street. Built in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.

Quite a billing to live up too? You will find that the Fox Inn does so admirably. Add to this at 123m it is the highest point in Suffolk that you can buy a pint, with the county top itself (Great Wood Hill) only a few metres higher.

Built to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee in 1887, the Jubilee Clock Tower is a grand sight at the top of Newmarket's High Street. The Clock Tower is the official start point for the Stour Valley Path, a 63-mile (101 km) long-distance trail that ends at Cattawade on the Stour Estuary.

The Newmarket Clock Tower is located at the top of the High Street. Local builder Richard Arber built it to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee of 1887. The tower was paid for by public subscription, but local trainer Charles Blanton donated the clock made by Smith of Derby Group. The clock tower was officially opened in 1890. Doesn't open til 5pm

Does toasties, bacon rolls, poached eggs, sausage rolls etc. as well as cakes so great for a lunch stop. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating although nowhere to secure bikes.

Medieval packhorse bridge beside the ford over the Kennett at Moulton. Still in use and bikeable (with a shallow step at each end of the bridge).
