Scenic avenue that rises in a straight gradient to the village of Snailwell.

Lovely clock tower with stained glass windows

Good views from the higher ground with a fast drop down on a generally empty road.

Small cafe & farm shop with indoor and outdoor seating and a range of cakes and pastries to choose from.

Shout “Four!” and play through; watch out for sand traps, and they’re not too keen on cleats on the putting greens. 🧐

Dead-end lane. Nothing particular to see that's worth the diversion.

Lovely setting. The Tack Room is the restaurant but there's also The Tack Box takeaway cafe and bakery, with full height glazing overlooking a manicured courtyard with outdoor seating. Opening hours for the cafe are 8am-3pm Tue-Sat and 10am-3pm Sun.

The only café or shop along the Icknield Way in this area for miles, great place to refill/-fuel

The Venice of East Anglia!

Farm shop, deli & cafe, right on the Icknield way. There's outside seating and they were happy for us to fill up water bottles from the outside tap.

Helpful landmark but otherwise nothing to say.

Phoenix Cycleworks is a bike shop, coffee shop and bike park. It is worth coming out this way if you want to check it out. You will need to book in advance if you want to access the bike park. The website is below: https://www.phoenixcycleworks.co.uk

A bike lane runs behind it over the pavement to cut the roundabout if you want to.

The Jubilee Clock Tower is an impressive sight at the top of Newmarket High Street. Built in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.
