The Hausbach Gorge is a peaceful and very pleasant hike along the stream, mostly on an easy path without any significant inclines. The route is mostly straight, ensuring a relaxed pace while still offering beautiful moments in nature. Ideal for a leisurely stroll without much effort.

Beautiful bridge with covered passage

The post office in Weiler is a former Royal Bavarian post office and the home of the Post Brewery. 170 years ago, Post Beer was brewed and served here, and stagecoach travelers were provided with food and lodging.

The building was originally constructed in 1815 as Oberreute's second school. Two classrooms were located on the ground floor, while the teacher's apartment was on the first floor. After the school moved to a new building in 1878, the old schoolhouse served various purposes until it was converted into the town hall in 1954.

The early neoclassical hall church was built in 1797/98. It consists of a nave, a recessed, semicircular choir in the northeast, a sacristy in the southeast, and a choir flanking tower in the northwest of the choir. The upper floors, with chamfered corners, house the belfry with six church bells and the tower clock. Atop the tower sits an onion dome.

It is unimaginable that border controllers were still stationed here until 1995.
