This section of the St Edmund Way (and also the Lark Valley Path) is perfect for enjoying a run. We'll cross the Suffolk Golf Club on the nice path, staying close to the River Lark at all moment and relishing in all the greenery around us... Ideal as well if you want to test how fast you can complete it!

This St. Andrew's church in Timworth is isolated, so we won't find any buildings immediately around it, with the closest communities being Ingham and Timworth. Its tower is situated to the south. It is a Grade II Listed Building.

Although the current building dates back to the 15th century, originally this church was built four centuries earlier. Noteworthy are its colorful hassocks and its Tudor-style porch.

In this area, we can see what's left of what was once one of the most powerful and wealthy Benedictine monasteries in the nation. This abbey was founded in 1020 and grew, gaining power and wealth, until it was dissolved in 1539.

Although it's commonly known as St Edmundsbury Cathedral, its formal name is actually the Cathedral Church of St James and St Edmund. It has its origins in the 11th century but evolved over time, undergoing reconstruction in the 12th and 16th centuries as a parish church before ultimately becoming a cathedral in 1914. In recent decades, it has continued to expand.
