From recent (painful) experience... if riding for the first time definitely take it steady (especially sections with rocks). The Lime Burner Trail in general is great fun, but it definitely has the potential to suddenly and unexpectedly bite you!

West Stow is more than just an outdoor museum; it's also an archaeological site, as it occupies the location of one of the earliest Anglo-Saxon villages, which was inhabited between 420 and 650 AD. Currently, there is a recreation of this village where you can engage in a variety of fun and interesting activities.

Possibly the most technical section of the Lime Burner Trail with it's general descent, tight turns, natural obstables, and short but steep climbs around trees.  If riding for the first time, take it steady and keep your eyes open as there are some fast changes in direction with trees that can quickly become a problem.

The top element of Seven Tree Road is less pleasant when prolonged amounts of rain. Rutted from 4 x 4's. But with care, always ridable.

From Wikipedia, Deadman's Grave, Icklingham Deadman's Grave, Icklingham is a 127.3-hectare (315-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-east of Icklingham in Suffolk. It is a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade I, and part of Breckland Special Area of Conservation and Breckland Special Protection Area under the European Union Directive on the Conservation of Wild Birds. According to Natural England, this site "is largely covered by short, sheep-grazed, species-rich calcareous grassland of the very highest value." It has four nationally rare plants, Spanish catchfly, Boehmer's cat's-tail, Breckland Wild Thyme and spring speedwell. Nationally rare stone curlews breed there. A track called Seven Tree Road runs through the site.

Dominating the skyline all around it, Ely Cathedral really is something to behold. Built in the 11th Century, you can sit in the grounds and just marvel at this amazing building. There are also loads of good refreshment options in Ely to choose from.

Ely is built on a 23-square-mile island which at 85 feet / 26 m, is the highest land in the Fens. Thanks to this, Ely was not waterlogged like the surrounding Fenland, and was originally an island separated from the mainland, until drained in the 18th century.

It is remote and quiet not that many people around and tranquil

With a traceable history back to 672AD this is definitely a place worth visiting.

If you're interested in history, this place is well worth a day. Sadly we had but an hour so will have to return another time.

Ely is technically England's second smallest city because of its beautiful cathedral. Worth a visit at least for the selfies.
