A very pleasant rest area at the Holzhausen/Pfändhausen/Hambach intersection, featuring a cross-bearer. A cross-bearer (also known as a cross-carrying figure or cross-slinger; colloquially called a cross-beater or cross-sleeper[1]) is a depiction of Christ carrying the cross as a freestanding figure. This distinctive form of wayside shrine, which emerged in the 17th century, is particularly widespread in Franconia and is a prominent feature of the landscape, especially in the Catholic dioceses of Bamberg and Würzburg.

The church consists of the nave with three window axes and the eastern church tower, a Julius Echter tower. The high altar is classicist and dates from around 1780, as is the pulpit. The side altars are early baroque works from around 1660 with wooden figures of Saints Kilian and Rochus from around 1510. On the ceiling of the nave is a painting showing Saint Kilian above a depiction of the village of Holzhausen. In the corners are medallions of the four evangelists.

Hain celebrates many festivals here, which are highly recommended. Why: the women's homemade cakes are very tasty and fresh bread is often baked and sold in the bakery. In and around the barn and on the square next door there is plenty of space for beer benches, so that many guests can sit down.

Beautifully designed Mary's Grotto in the immediate vicinity of the Hambach town hall (there are many parking spaces).

It has been a place of prayer and devotion for believers for over 100 years. It was and is often visited by people from outside and groups of pilgrims. The many thank-you and votive tablets on the trees tell of the diverse suffering and help that the believers have experienced in the course of their lives. The grotto was modeled on the apparition of Mary in Lourdes and the grotto located there.
