Siblings Ingrid Hornef, Hofheim / Taunus -When preparing the KUNST-RASEN exhibition, I came across the legend of the siblings in front of whom a cauldron of gold rose while they were playing and then disappeared again when they tried to retrieve it. This cauldron gave the Ketzelburg its name. The siblings (front with dividing line) can be found in the sandstone sculpture, but its battlements are also reminiscent of the Ketzelburg (back without dividing line), whose hidden foundations prove that the legend has a historical background. The sculpture is not just meant to remind us of the past, but also stands for the present and future. The people (two androgynous figures) carry a filled bowl on their heads (center of thought): This full bowl is a symbol of innovation, spirit, power, ideas, departure. But contrary to the legend, the bowl does not disappear. It could be a symbol of the new Spessart image, from which one can always create new ideas. The siblings, created in 2000, have been at the start of the European cultural route "Knight, Prince and Wave Tipper" since 2002.
