The Marienbrücke (Mary's Bridge) connects the old town with the Innstadt (Inn Town) across the Inn River. The current bridge was rebuilt after the Second World War and is an important traffic link and a central crossing between the two districts.

The Peichterturm is a historic round tower in the Innstadt district and part of the former medieval city fortifications. It was built around 1402/1403 and served as a battery tower to reinforce the city wall at the western entrance to the Innstadt. Today, the tower is a well-preserved example of medieval defensive architecture, has been restored several times, and is one of the visible relics of Passau's historic fortifications.

Dating back to the 14th century, it was originally part of the medieval city fortifications and served as a watchtower.
