The Bavarian Forest Museum Village is one of the biggest attractions in the Bavarian Forest. Over the past decades, one of Europe's largest open-air museums has been created on the shores of the beautiful Dreiburgensee lake. More than 140 mostly furnished buildings now attract numerous visitors every year. Upon entering the museum village, you'll step into a bygone era and can admire the diverse house and farmstead styles of the Bavarian Forest from the 14th to the 19th centuries: mills, sawmills, wayside shrines, and chapels. Another house that is in good condition. Maybe it's because the ground floor was built of brick, not just wood like some. The building was inhabited until 1960, and from 1989 it was transferred to the museum village.

The old house can be found next to the tourist information. Pretty well preserved for the time. There is an indoor restaurant that is currently closed. I'm not sure if you can stay there overnight.
