The Haidel trails are the highest (960 to 1150 m above sea level) and the most snow-sure in the Bavarian Forest. A total of 29 kilometers of trails offer "pure cross-country skiing fun" around Grainet's local mountain (Haidel). In addition to the classic trail, a skating track is also prepared. Cross-country skiing is really fun here!

The Dreisessel in the Bavarian Forest border triangle is one of the most popular excursion and hiking destinations. Well-signposted paths lead to its peaks Dreisesselfels, Hochstein and Bayerischer Plöckenstein (Czech: Trojmezná hora), offering a wonderful view of the Bavarian Forest, the Bohemian Forest and the Mühlviertel.
